Connect Informed Repricer to an AI assistant to ask questions about your listings, competition, strategies, and performance. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection lets your assistant use your account data and carry out supported tasks when you grant the required permissions.
The MCP connection is included with every Informed Repricer plan at no additional cost. Your AI provider’s plan, usage limits, and workspace permissions still apply.
What can I do with MCP?
Use MCP to look up listing and competition data, review strategies, analyze performance, and request reports. With write access enabled, your assistant can also update supported listing fields, assign strategies, and submit upload files.
Start with a specific question and include the SKU or ASIN and marketplace. For example:
“Show my minimum price, maximum price, and assigned strategy for SKU SAMPLE-123 on Amazon US.”
“Check the latest reported offers for ASIN B000000000 on Amazon US and tell me which seller holds the Buy Box.”
“Review my active repricing strategies and suggest changes. Do not make any updates.”
MCP uses the data available in your Informed Repricer account. An offer snapshot does not establish a competitor’s actual stock quantity or whether an offer can currently be purchased on the marketplace.
Before you connect
You need your Informed Repricer sign-in and an AI assistant that supports remote MCP connections. You do not need an Informed Repricer API key or a local server.
Use this server URL when adding the connection:
https://mcp.informedrepricer.com/mcp
Choose OAuth if your assistant asks for an authentication method. Complete the Informed Repricer sign-in in the browser rather than entering your password into the chat.
Connect with Claude
Add Informed Repricer as a custom connector in Claude.
Open Customize > Connectors in Claude.
Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name the connector Informed Repricer and enter the server URL above.
Follow the setup prompts and complete the Informed Repricer sign-in.
In a chat, use the + menu to enable Informed Repricer under Connectors.
On a managed Claude workspace, an owner may need to add the connector before members can connect. See Claude’s custom connector instructions for account-specific setup.
Connect with ChatGPT
Add Informed Repricer as a custom MCP plugin in ChatGPT on the web.
Open ChatGPT Plugins.
Select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
Name it Informed Repricer and enter the server URL above under Connection.
Choose OAuth authentication and follow the setup prompts.
Review the permissions and warning, then select Create as a plugin.
Install the plugin and complete the Informed Repricer sign-in when prompted. In a chat, type @ and select Informed Repricer.
Workspace permissions and security restrictions can affect whether you can add or use a custom MCP server. See OpenAI’s custom MCP setup instructions for the current requirements.
For Claude Code or another compatible client, use the Informed Repricer MCP developer guide.
Control whether your assistant can make changes
Account changes require additional write permission for the connected app. In Informed Repricer, open Account > Security and find Connected Apps & Agents to manage write access or revoke a connection.
Review the listings, marketplaces, and values before approving an update. Write access allows supported account changes; it is not required just to ask questions about your account data.
Troubleshoot the connection
If the sign-in window does not open, allow pop-ups for your AI assistant and try connecting again. Check that the server URL matches the address above exactly.
If your assistant cannot access Informed Repricer, confirm that the connection is enabled in the conversation and that you completed sign-in with the intended account. If an update is blocked by permissions, review the connected app’s write access under Account > Security.
If you need help, send support the AI assistant’s name, the step that failed, and the error message or a screenshot. Do not include passwords, API keys, or sign-in tokens.
Should I use MCP or the API?
Use MCP to work with Informed Repricer through an AI assistant. Use the Informed Repricer API when you are building a custom software integration.
