What this setting does
The Suppressed Buy Box setting controls how Informed Repricer changes your price when Amazon removes the Buy Box from a listing. It applies to Get the Buy Box and Build Your Own strategies that compete directly against the Buy Box.
A suppressed Buy Box is not the same as having no competition. When Amazon suppresses the Buy Box, this setting applies instead of your "No Competition" setting.
To change this setting, open the applicable strategy from the Strategies page, then find "When the Buy Box is suppressed" in the strategy editor.
What each option does
Continue repricing (default): Informed Repricer lowers your price in small steps at regular intervals, but never below your minimum price. Because a price that Amazon considers too high can suppress the Buy Box, gradually lowering your price may help the Buy Box return.
Do not reprice: Your price stays where it is until the Buy Box returns.
Use Min Price: Your price moves to your minimum price until the Buy Box returns.
Use Max Price: Your price moves to your maximum price until the Buy Box returns.
Compete with the lowest featured merchant: Informed Repricer competes against the lowest featured merchant offer until the Buy Box returns.
A suppressed Buy Box is not the same as having no competition. When the Buy Box is suppressed, this setting applies, not your "when there is no competition" setting.
What is a suppressed Buy Box?
Amazon may suppress the Buy Box when none of the available offers qualify to become the Featured Offer. Price, availability, and suspected pricing errors can all affect eligibility.
See our "Why is there no Buy Box for my item?" article for more information.
How do I see which items have a suppressed Buy Box?
You can identify items that have a suppressed Buy Box by filtering on the Listings Page. If you filter by Buy Box Status > Buy Box Suppressed, you will see all items with a suppressed Buy Box.
