Overdrive gives selected Amazon listings even faster repricing. Your strategy still determines each new price, and your minimum and maximum prices continue to apply. Overdrive changes how quickly qualifying price updates are sent to Amazon.
You do not need to create a new strategy or change your existing strategy settings. Listings with Overdrive enabled continue to follow their assigned strategy.
How does Overdrive make repricing faster?
Overdrive uses a faster process to send qualifying price updates to Amazon when new marketplace activity triggers repricing.
Qualifying activity can include a competitor changing their price or the Buy Box changing hands. Other repricing actions continue through the standard process, so an Overdrive enabled listing may still have price changes that were not sent through Overdrive.
Which listings should use Overdrive?
Overdrive is most useful for high volume, highly competitive listings where reacting quickly to marketplace changes matters most.
You choose which individual listings use Overdrive. You do not need to enable it across your entire catalog.
Enable Overdrive from the Listings page
Once you’ve added Overdrive or Overdrive Pro from the Subscription page, you can enable Overdrive for individual listings using the Overdrive column on the Listings page.
Go to the Listings page.
Find the Overdrive column.
Click the Overdrive icon next to the listing you want to enable.
The column can be filtered and sorted, making it easier to find listings that have Overdrive enabled.
Enable Overdrive from the Listing Control Panel
You can also enable or disable Overdrive from the Listing Control Panel.
Go to the Listings Page and click the pencil icon in the Actions column for the listing you want to update. This opens the Listing Control Panel, where you can turn Overdrive Engaged on.
How fast is Overdrive?
Informed Repricer receives offer and Buy Box change notifications directly from Amazon as soon as Amazon makes them available. Overdrive begins processing a qualifying price change as soon as the notification arrives. Exact timing can vary because Amazon controls when notifications are sent and when submitted prices appear on the marketplace.
The Overdrive panel on your dashboard shows the average time between Informed Repricer receiving a qualifying marketplace event and submitting the resulting price update to Amazon.
Track Overdrive activity
Price changes submitted through Overdrive are also marked with the Overdrive icon in the listing’s Activity History. This lets you see which updates used the accelerated submission path.
